Deby and I had a wonderful view of this old homestead from the deck of our cabin, high above the Upper Mountain Fork River in eastern Oklahoma back in April of 2009.</p>
<p>I was struck by the fact that this was probably once the home of a family much like ours, long since forgotten and left to deteriorate.</p>
